Nevomo's international expansion. Polish start-up will enter new markets

20.04.2021

Nevomo is expanding the scope of its activities and starting its European expansion. The Polish start-up has established cooperation with EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf and the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer in Germany. The founders have also announced the opening of a new Swiss office, which will take responsibility for the cooperation with entities from Switzerland, France and Italy.

The company has just announced its cooperation with EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf. This is the second innovation campus of this type in Germany, following the establishment of the first prestigious centre in Berlin. The campus will bring together companies, scientists and start-ups operating in the areas of modern technologies for energy, mobility and sustainable development.

- The EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf proves that the transformation of the energy and mobility sectors is possible. We are pleased to welcome Nevomo directly from the start as an active partner of our innovation community and as an important tenant of the Mobility Hub NRW. NEVOMO - one of the most innovative players in the field of mobility - will show how the mobility of the future will look like and how this future becomes reality – says Uwe Kerkmann, Head of EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf.

European Hyperloop Technology Center

Another milestone for Nevomo is establishing cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, which in cooperation with the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, is creating a network dedicated to Hyperloop Technology and future implementations in transportation systems on a European scale.

-In a collaborative effort, both universities are active in the project EU HyTeC (European Hyperloop Technology Center), funded by the state of Lower Saxony, which evaluates the evolution of the existing 32km Transrapid test track in Emsland, Germany, towards a European Hyperloop Research Facility. - comments Prof. Dr. Ing. Thomas Schüning, Board of Directors - Institute of Hyperloop Technology. - We are happy to count Nevomo as a Partner for the Large Scale Research Infrastructure on Hyperloop Technology in Emsland.

The newly established cooperation gives us the opportunity to play an important role in the development of the transport technologies of tomorrow. Close cooperation with partners in the field of mechanical engineering, electronics and information technology is crucial to to transform the antiquated fossil fuel-dependent transportation system into an efficient and emission-free one. Both EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf and the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer provide us with access to such entities and give us wide opportunities, thanks to which our further development and joint work on the implementation of the transport of the future will be possible – says Przemek Paczek, CEO of Nevomo.

Conquering the Alps

An important stage of Nevomo's international expansion is also the opening of an office in Switzerland. It will serve potential clients in key markets, such as Switzerland, France and Italy, as well as increase the number of international corporate partnerships and R&D projects, recruit international engineering talents, and facilitate access to Western European sources of financing. Its opening is scheduled for the turn of the third and fourth quarter of this year.

Another target of the company is Austria. In order to increase business competencies and learn about the specifics of this market, Nevomo is taking part in the Vienna Startup Package. The four-week workshop allows start-ups to learn about the dynamics of the Austrian market, identify new business opportunities, and establish contacts with local contractors.
